Decoration Method

Direct To Film (DTF) Transfers In West Palm Beach

The most flexible decoration we run. Full color, fine detail, low minimums, and it bonds to fabrics that screen printing struggles with. If the order is small or the artwork is complicated, this is usually the answer.

01 / How It Works

The Short Version.

How It Works

Your design is printed onto a transfer film in full color, coated with an adhesive powder and cured. The finished transfer is then heat pressed onto the garment, bonding the ink into the fabric.

Why Minimums Are Low

There are no screens to burn and no color separations to set up. That removes the setup cost that makes small screen print runs expensive, so a handful of pieces is perfectly reasonable.

What It Is Best For

Photographic artwork, gradients, fine detail, lots of colors, and mixed orders where the garments are different fabrics or colors.

02 / Straight Answers

Direct To Film (DTF) Transfers Questions.

Does DTF work on polyester and performance fabric?

Yes, and that is one of its real advantages over screen printing, which can struggle with dye migration on polyester.

How does it hold up in the wash?

Well, when it is applied correctly. Wash inside out in cold water and skip the high heat dry and it will last the life of the garment.

Can I order just a few pieces?

Yes. DTF is the method we point people to when the quantity is small.
