Direct To Garment (DTG) Printing In West Palm Beach
Ink printed straight into the fibres rather than sitting on top of them. The result is a soft hand feel and photographic detail, which makes it the choice for retail-quality cotton pieces in small numbers.
The Short Version.
How It Works
The garment is pretreated, then a specialized printer jets water-based ink directly into the fabric. Heat curing sets it. Because the ink lands in the fibres rather than on them, there is almost no texture where the print sits.
Soft Hand Feel
Run your hand across a DTG print and you feel the shirt, not a plastic panel. On a premium cotton tee that difference is obvious to whoever wears it.
What It Is Best For
Detailed or photographic art, small runs, retail and merch lines, and anywhere a heavy print would ruin the feel of a good garment.
Direct To Garment (DTG) Printing Questions.
Why cotton?
The water-based inks bond to natural fibres. On high-polyester garments the color will not hold the same way, so we would steer you to DTF instead.
Can you print on dark shirts?
Yes. Dark garments take a white underbase first so the colors stay true.
Is DTG or DTF better for my order?
Send us the artwork, the garment and the quantity. We will tell you which gives the better result rather than defaulting to whichever is easiest for us.
